Sfil, a bank “unlike other banks” was founded on 1 February 2013. 100% public, 100% French, 100% focused on local authorities.
It does not seek to make a profit but rather to provide sustainable financial support to the country, its infrastructure and its economy.
Two years later, it expanded into the financing of major export projects.
Today, Sfil is, alongside its partners La Banque Postale and La Banque des Territoires, the leading financer of investments by the local public sector, the leading export liquidity provider and the seventh largest French bank by balance sheet size.
These results herald the start of a new decade focused on providing support to regional transition and the financing of new projects aimed at developing our economy.
We can’t wait for tomorrow.
