The SDIS 34 is investing €35 million in the construction of a centre for emergency preparedness, intended for the training of firefighters. Designed to accommodate 200 trainees per day, it responds to the growing challenges related to natural, technological and societal risks.

Context

With 73,149 interventions per year, the SDIS 34 is a major player in public safety in Occitania. Faced with evolving risks and the need for continuous training of rescue teams, this centre will offer optimal conditions to prepare firefighters for increasingly complex and demanding interventions.

Solution

To support this strategic project, Sfil and La Banque Postale have granted a social loan of €13 million over 20 years. This long-term financing allows SDIS 34 to invest in modern and efficient equipment.

Results

Designed to accommodate up to 200 trainees per day, this centre of excellence will offer more immersive training, with realistic scenarios and virtual reality simulations. Thanks to its adapted infrastructure and cutting-edge technology, this project is an essential asset in effectively responding to the challenges of managing natural, technological and societal risks in the region.
