The Territorial Collectivity of Martinique has invested €91 million in a wide-ranging renovation program for its middle schools, high schools, and higher-education institutions.

Home to more than 360,000 residents, the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique launched a major renovation initiative covering its middle schools, high schools, and higher-education facilities.
To support this effort, Sfil and La Banque Postale provided €91 million in long-term social loan financing over 25 years.
Developed in coordination with school principals, the program focuses primarily on maintenance, safety and security upgrades, seismic retrofitting, energy efficiency, school meal services, and the modernization of boarding facilities.
Nearly 350 projects were carried out, including the renovation of dormitories, the creation of new facilities for the French National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) at Lycée Schœlcher, the construction of new buildings, asbestos abatement, roof framing and roofing repairs, expansions of school kitchens, carpentry work, enhanced safety measures, and the creation of an agronomy and animal science hub.
