Context

The Gard Departmental Fire and Rescue Service plays a vital role in protecting and ensuring the safety of nearly 750,000 residents in the department.

Solution

To support its project to rehabilitate its fire and rescue stations and purchase equipment, Sfil and La Banque Postale provided a €4 million social loan over 20 years.

SDIS therefore invested €17.8 million to sustain the operational capabilities required to protect the public and combat fires.

Results

In particular, it :

  • purchased around ten new vehicles, including road rescue vehicles, pumper trucks, and ambulances ;
  • planned the construction of new fire and rescue stations in the municipalities of Roquemaure, Bagard, and Bellegarde ;
  • equipped all rescue vehicles with an innovative device : the Lifepak defibrillator paired with a connected tablet. The key innovation is the real-time transmission of medical information to the SAMU medical dispatch physicians (15), enabling immediate review of the patient’s vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc.). This system helps optimize medical resources, improve the patient’s chances of survival, and strengthen the traceability of information.

62699 responses per year carried out by the financed SDIS
