Context

Located in the Finistère department and serving more than 16,000 residents, the inter-municipal authority of Poher faces public health challenges and limited access to care across its territory.

Solution

To support this local authority, Sfil and La Banque Postale provided a €1 million social loan over 15 years.

The inter-municipal authority of Poher therefore invested €3.3 million to build a multidisciplinary health center, designed in consultation with the Carhaix area health professionals’ association. Fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, this new facility will bring together 18 medical suites, including four dedicated to dental care, as well as a sterilization room.

Results

The project aims to combat rural medical desertification, ensure continuity of care, and make it easier for local residents to access a broad range of medical and allied health services, while encouraging new health professionals to set up practice in the area.
