Construction of a radiotherapy center at Châteauroux – Le Blanc

Hospital Center of Châteauroux - Le Blanc invested EUR 4.1 million in the creation of a new radiotherapy center, that will serve the entire department. For patient comfort during care, it will enable approximately 700 consultations per year.

Context

Located in the heart of the Indre Département, the Hospital Center of Châteauroux – Le Blanc is central to this rural area.
Without a dedicated center, patients needing radiotherapy were referred to other hospitals far away and in neighboring Départements.

Solution

To support this project, Sfil and La Banque Postale have granted a EUR 4.1 million loan for the creation of a new radiotherapy center, which both the hospital and the Département lacked.
It took 18 months to complete, with inauguration scheduled for September 2024.

Results

With 1 098 beds and more than 1 000 employees, the Hospital Center of Châteauroux – Le Blanc contributes to guaranteeing a local healthcare offer within the “Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire – GHT” of Indre, of which it is the support establishment.
This state-of-the-art facility offers a care solution close to the region’s residents, and improves comfort in the management of cancerous diseases and quality of life
