In 2023, Sfil – the public development bank serving French territories and exports – celebrated 10 years of existence and 5 years of membership of the United Nations Global Compact.
2023 was a pivotal year for integrating sustainable development issues into all aspects of our business. In particular, it was marked by
The overhaul of our sustainable development policy, based around ten commitments that are in line with the Caisse des Dépôts Group’s strategic areas (ecological transformation, economic development and sovereignty, social and territorial cohesion and internal exemplarity) and the definition of associated extra-financial performance indicators;
The first measurement of the carbon footprint of our portfolios and the publication of commitments to reduce this footprint by 2030;
The development of an innovative methodology for rating the climate and environmental risks faced by local authorities;
The adoption of a new, more comprehensive and ambitious policy on inclusion and diversity.
As you read this 2023 Sustainable Development Report, you will discover how Sfil, through its financing activities and internal practices, is committed to the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
